Our Story: Family Caring for Family
It all started this way, as family caring for family. Carroll and Donna Moore opened the first CarDon community in Greenwood, Ind., in 1977, with the vision to create a better alternative for area seniors — a place to receive care and live happily.
All six Moore children went on to work at the Greenwood senior living community, where they absorbed a unique appreciation for the remarkable lives and accomplishments of the residents they considered members of their extended family.
These first jobs inspired long-term career choices for all of the Moore children. Today, five are licensed nursing home administrators and one is a physician. The entire family has continued their parents’ legacy, with four of the six serving as hands-on owners and operators and serving on the board of directors of CarDon & Associates.
With the newest development community — Copper Trace in Westfield, IN — there are now 20 CarDon communities located throughout central and southern Indiana.
Proud to honor the quality standards established by Carroll and Donna Moore and the legacy of their commitment to area seniors, CarDon & Associates has 40 years of experience in community development and management, plus an unparalleled family-centered approach to creating inspiring living environments and delivering compassionate care.
